    Cambridge-based tech startup FocalPoint had outgrown their previous space and needed to move into a larger office to house their expanding business. They envisioned a professional space that would bring staff together under one roof whilst providing dedicated areas to host clients and attract investors. We developed a sleek, minimalist workspace that effectively communicates FocalPoint’s brand identity, helping to retain a cohesive work environment as the company grows.

  • Client experience

    Located in an old mill building in Cambridge, the new space is divided into the front-of-house guest area and back-of-house space for staff. The dedicated client space is located on the ground floor where visitors are greeted by a branded entrance point which opens onto an attractive soft seating area, with two large meeting rooms branching off from the central space. The distinct client area ensures a memorable and bespoke experience.

  • Brand representation

    Elements of FocalPoint’s brand language are found throughout the space which communicate the company’s identity and what they do. Statement navy blue walls are complemented by a warm colour palette alongside timber tabletops and partitions in the client space and meeting rooms; the contemporary design creates an inviting, branded space for clients and staff alike.

  • Promoting wellbeing

    Beyond the welcome area and client space is a bright and spacious teapoint and seating area found on the ground floor, leading to a separate workspace on the first floor. The split-level staff area encourages employees to break away from their workstations and relax in a more informal setting. With soft light features, ample natural light and a large dining table for FocalPoint’s people to come together, the breakout space will contribute to a healthier work-life balance.

  • Modern workspace

    The first-floor workspace unites FocalPoint’s growing team and allows them to work effectively together. Fixed desks allow for independent and focused work whilst various other workspaces enable hybrid meetings, such as a single-person call booth and a four-person meeting room for collaborative sessions. Supplemented with the necessary space for hosting clients and for social interactions between staff, the FocalPoint team are supported by a modern workspace that is designed to cater to their ways of working and their business.
